About Lucy Goffin

I understand what it's like to run a business where everything eventually lands on the owner's desk.

My background is in business development, sales, account management, marketing, customer experience and commercial management. Across those roles, the common thread has been making businesses run better: improving processes, looking after customers and keeping the commercial side on track.

I also built and ran my own business, which grew to more than £1 million in revenue. I was responsible for sales, marketing, operations, customer service, suppliers, processes, financial performance and business development, along with the day-to-day management that comes with owning a business.

That experience taught me how easily good businesses get bogged down. Enquiries get missed, follow-up slips, admin builds up and the owner ends up doing everything, often in the evenings.

I set up The Business Workshop to give business owners practical support and a fresh outside perspective. Sometimes that means taking work off your plate. Sometimes it means looking at how things are done and helping you put something better in place. Often it's a bit of both.
